Delhi Court orders framing of charges against Brij Bhushan in wrestlers' sexual harassment case
Prasanna Roy, a key figure implicated in the SSC recruitment corruption case, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday night, marking the first arrest by the ED in this high-profile case. Roy, who had previously been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for his alleged involvement in the corruption scandal, was out on bail at the time of his latest arrest.
Sources from the ED revealed that Roy was interrogated throughout the day, during which he allegedly attempted to mislead the investigating officers. Subsequently, he was arrested late in the night. Notably, Roy is reported to have ownership stakes in approximately 80 companies, according to ED and CBI sources.
